Case Details
Plaintiff alleges issues in its Complaint including the following:
- Numerous portions of the website do not interface with and are not readable by SRS.
- Field labels are not announced.
- The onscreen field labels are not programmatically associated with the corresponding fields so they are not announced when a user tabs to these fields.
- Screen reader users cannot select a product color
or finish. Both are required fields so a user cannot add an item to a cart until these options are
selected. - Focus does move to each product selected (Finish and Color) but the focus does not extend to the values in the dropdown.
- Only the default value is announced, none of the other values
are announced and they cannot be accessed via a keyboard. - User must click the value with a mouse
in order to make a selection. - The Shop menu item is not operable with only a keyboard which will also prevent screen reader users from accessing this menu. It only opens when clicked with a
mouse. - The Search icon, Shop menu item, and News menu item do not receive focus and are not announced by normal navigation.
- Available product colors are available on-screen but they are notannounced.
- The newsletter pop-up is announced as soon as it is presented. The issue is that the close button is not announced so users must register in order to close the window.
- The Wishlist and Account icons do not have clear and accessible labels. Each is announced the same; "U S C C
Without Me Link" which does not inform users of the purpose of these icons.
