Project Spotlight

Distance learning and technology needs are paramount in the time of Covid.  Ensuring every student has a device and access to education and therapy and as SLDC moved into the hybrid model we need to have webcams, tablets, PCs, all to connect our teacher in the classroom with students at home.

Awards Received

The speech department is very well known and has been recognized as a leader in the field.

Interesting Facts

SLDC was created by two Navy nurses in 1955. This was when children with a developmental delay were deemed unable to learn. The founders knew that was incorrect and worked hard to invest time and attention to those children most in need.
