Services Provided

SignAll has developed technology leveraging AI and computer vision that is able to recognize and translate sign language to be employed for both business and education. Based on the technology, two major products are being developed and offered.

SignAll Learn Lab is one-of-a-kind interactive system that provides immediate responses to users’ signing. It is used to automate sign language learning and practicing. SignAll Chat is the first and only system for automated translation between American Sign Language and English. SignAll Chat was created to increase accessibility for the D/deaf. SignAll Learn Lab allows and encourages hearing people to learn ASL, and therefore promotes accessibility and inclusion indirectly. Both products are already available on the market.

Among its use-cases are:

  • Employment for the D/deaf;
  • Services provided to the D/deaf in American Sign Language (ASL);
  • Communication with smart technologies like Alexa or Siri, smart homes, vending machines, or ASL-adjusted functions on smartphones.

In all the above-mentioned scenarios, D/deaf people were required to switch to English and use writing/typing for communication with hearing people. With SignAll Chat, D/deaf people communicate in their native language – ASL. Thus, SignAll Chat extends domains where D/deaf and hearing interact smoothly in their native languages. This creates more D/deaf-accessible workplaces. The Chat also improves the quality of life for D/deaf customers of products and services.

SignAll Learn Lab is an interactive, AI-powered workstation to learn and practice American Sign Language. Using the system saves teachers’ time on routine tasks and allows them to redistribute it towards strategic development of the course. It also allows teachers to easily track each student’s progress. The SignAll Learn Lab’s lessons align with the majority of academic programs and can be used in conjunction with the most popular academic curriculum. For students, SignAll provides interactive lessons and offers an entertaining way to learn ASL. Based on the data collected and annotated by native signers, the Lab gives immediate feedback on signing. It also offers games and perception training to master tasks that are considered the most challenging for non-signers – understanding fingerspelling.

SignAll Learn Lab motivates hearing people in both education and business to learn ASL, ensuring greater and smoother inclusion of D/deaf people in a range of domains, such as education, employment, families, and in the greater society.

Interesting Facts

SignAll’s team is a multinational mix of D/deaf and hearing, working from Hungary and the US

SignAll’s parent enterprise encountered issues interviewing, hiring, and accommodating a D/deaf employee seven years ago. Ultimately succeeding with the employment and subsequently learning about the hardships of the D/deaf, the idea to offer a system for direct and seamless communication between the deaf/hard of hearing and hearing arose. A team of inspired, mission-driven people succeeded and developed a new product – an automated, real-time, bi-directional translation system. Later on, the technology was employed to offer an interactive solution for learning and practicing ASL.
