With an objective to make a contribution towards a disability-inclusive society; the world’s first-ever smart visual assistive device built on wearable VR technology was introduced for the visually impaired helping them to see, connect and regain their independence.  

IrisVision’s transformative low-vision technology hosts several features that enhance key elements of an user left-over vision to provide a wider field of view, increased magnification up to 14x, adjustable level of magnification, and smart voice commands using Alexa.

IrisVision is an affordable low vision solution that digitally remaps users’ vision to access and amplify their limited left-over eyesight. Developed in collaboration with world-renowned vision scientists at Johns Hopkins University, Stanford University, UPMC Pittsburgh merged with VR technology - the wearable breakthrough assistive technology enhances visual acuity for the visually impaired suffering from eye conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, etc.

Interesting Facts

Declared “World Changing Idea for 2020” at the Fast Company Honoree Awards and CES 2019 Innovation Honoree for Virtual and Augmented Reality; IrisVision has been leading the way towards a smart accessible visual experience for the vision-impaired community helping them see clearly and live fully.

The impact created has not just helped the visually impaired to see clearly but has reignited their passion for pursuing their dreams. One such example is that of Amy Dixon - a Blind Paralympics Triathlete who had lost all hopes to conquer the sports arena due to the visual obstacles faced during training before being introduced to the revolutionary technology.
