STRiVE’s mission is to support people who strive to meet their full potential. Our vision is for every person we serve to be included in all facets of the community, free to exercise the greatest degree of personal independence and empowered to pursue individual goals and dreams. Services Provided

STRiVE provides support services to enable people with disabilities to be healthy and safe, and to live as independently as possible within their community. Adult services range from support services to assist those living in the community as well as to those that require total, 24/7 care. STRiVE provides vocational training and placement services, therapy-based day programs, and early intervention/prevention services for infants and toddlers. Family support services include disability-related funding assistance, respite care, specialized equipment and home modifications to help meet the home care needs of individuals with disabilities.

How Donations Are Used

STRiVE has a wide variety of areas that are funded through the donation process. Gaps in children service’s for example, assisted technology, emergency funds in the area of basic needs, respite and job training for those who choose to find employment in the community.

Project Spotlight

STRiVE owns and operates Alida’s Fruits which provides a “real” operation where adult clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities are employed, trained and integrated with other workers. Alida’s Fruits in Palisade, Colorado is a highly regarded, 13-year established enterprise that specializes in producing, marketing and distributing salsa, jams and jellies and a particularly distinctive dried fruit/candy line, all making use of locally-grown fruits and vegetables as available. Through Alida’s, STRiVE has the ability to train and employ its intellectually and developmentally disabled clients in meaningful work in an exciting environment. Support services provide for employment training and ongoing coaching of STRiVE clients, thereby improving individual employability and increasing Alida’s Fruits’ production efficiencies and profitability. Awards and Accreditations

STRiVE was certified in practice of person centered delivery of services by CQL (Council on Quality and Leadership), the only one in the state of Colorado and one of three hundred and fifty worldwide.

Interesting Facts

An interesting and impressive statistic about STRiVE is that 46% of children participating in STRiVE’s Early Intervention Program reach age appropriate skills and behaviors by age three and no longer require special education services upon entering kindergarten.
