Digital accessibility lawsuitsMarch 2026
Federal website accessibility lawsuits rose 20% in March 2026, reaching 326 filings as Equal Access Law Group PLLC maintained its dominance and repeat plaintiffs sustained their share of complaints.
Counts cover all 326 filings, and the percentages come from an in-depth review of 203 of them.
Equal Access Law Group PLLC filed half of all complaints, down slightly from 52% in February but still three times the share of any other firm.
WCAG 2.2 was named in 56% of complaints, up from 53% in February and now appearing in more than twice as many filings as WCAG 2.1.
Cedric Bishop, with 60 earlier cases in the archive, was again among this month's plaintiffs, the highest repeat count.
56 defendants had already been sued in an earlier case, demonstrating that one complaint does not end a company's exposure.
