Services Provided

sasi’s goal is and always has been to enable people with special needs to lead meaningful and productive lives and to be as independent as possible.

sasi’s passionate and dedicated staff provide not just personal care, but employment training and placement, clinical habilitation services, 24-hour residential care, and recreation.

Through initiatives like the High Hurdles therapeutic horseback riding program, the Moving Miracles Dance Studio and the Personal Training Program for individuals with special needs, sasi embraces creative opportunities in caring for our individuals. We also provide enriching employment for them through the Original Kazoo Company, the New Angola Theater, and the Buffalo Box Kite Company.

How Donations Are Used

Gifts to sasi are used to directly support the individuals receiving services through sasi: purchase equipment & supplies, enhance services, support program needs and sustain “un-funded” programs.

Project Spotlight

sasi’s current needs are focused around the effects of COVID-19 which have resulted in a cessation of selected services, increased expenses for PPE, staffing and remote work adaptations.

Awards or Certifications

sasi has a cleaning service, SAGE, which employs individuals, and works with local businesses and entities, including the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency at the Canadian border crossing, in Lewiston, NY. Sage has been recognized by the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (ISSA) for their work.

The Original Kazoo factory, owned by sasi and staffed by our individuals, is the only metal kazoo factory, in North America.
