Mission

JJ's List is a communications and marketing social enterprise that helps businesses meet the needs of customers or employees with disabilities by incorporating disability-aware marketing, customer service and employment best practices into core business strategies. They provide educational workshops and a platform for people with disabilities to self-advocate and build skills necessary for employment and independence.

Disability Awareness Training

The Disability Awareness Training is a scripted presentation that gives audiences at businesses, organizations, and schools the tools needed to feel comfortable and confident interacting with people with disabilities through role play and person-first language. DATs are available virtually also.

Public Transportation Workshops

Hop on the Bus to Independence: This workshop is for people with disabilities in the Chicago Area presented by JJsList and Pace Suburban Bus. The workshop introduces the concept of public transportation, teaches safety tips, online resources, and accessibility features, builds independence and highlights other benefits of taking public transportation.

Approximately 40,000/month in the Chicago Metropolitan Area and beyond.

How Donations Are Used

JJ's List is a social enterprise of Search Inc, a non-profit organization that supports adults with intellectual disabilities. JJ's List relies on donations for general operating expenses and to promote our trainings and workshops to spread disability awareness and to empower individuals with disabilities to self-advocate and be as independent as possible.
